AI + editor server time
Built-in AI work and your running development/editor servers use the same workspace credits. AI usage varies by model and task.
36 credits / hour
Metered at 0.01 credits per second while your project server is running, including startup and idle time before it suspends. Published-site visitors do not consume these runtime credits.
Pooled per workspace
Your allowance covers all your sites together. Extra page views are currently tracked for information only; overages are not billed or capped during beta.
CMS, multiplayer, and localization are coming soon and are not included as available features in either plan today.
How plans, credits, and publishing work together.
Per workspace. Pro covers all the active websites in that workspace for $12/month or $96/year. There is no separate Pro fee for each website. Free includes three active websites; archived websites do not count toward that limit.
Pro costs $96 paid once per year, equivalent to $8/month. Each recurring credit pack has the same price: $96/year. Monthly billing is $12/month for Pro and $12/month per pack. Your workspace plan and packs share one billing interval. Applicable taxes are added at checkout.
No. Included credits and recurring pack credits refresh each month and expire at the end of that credit window. On an annual plan, you still receive a monthly allowance rather than the full year’s credits upfront. Pro includes 10,000 credits total per month; each pack adds another 10,000.
Your project’s running development/editor server uses Starjay credits even when you work through Claude Code or Codex, or make manual edits. The runtime rate is 36 credits/hour. Any charges from your chosen AI provider are separate from Starjay.
New AI work and new editor/server starts require a positive credit balance. An already-running server gets a grace period before it pauses if credits remain exhausted. Your published websites keep serving, and your files are retained. Add credits or wait for your next monthly allowance to continue building.
The Free allowance is 1,000 page views per month; Pro includes 5,000. Both are pooled across your workspace. During beta, additional page views are informational: Starjay does not collect overage charges, throttle visitors, or unpublish your site because of traffic.
Yes. Both Free and Pro support publishing to your own custom domains. Domain registration is separate; you bring a domain you own and connect it to your website.
Your Pro plan continues until the end of the paid period. When it ends, your workspace keeps three active websites; extra websites are archived and unpublished, while their files are retained. Restoring archived websites requires Pro. Credit-pack subscriptions are managed separately.
